Gill + Mark | Canmore Mountain Wedding

Mark and Gill were married at the gorgeous Canmore Nordic Centre, just outside of Canmore, Alberta! Their mountain ceremony took place at ‘Tree Island’, in front of the most gorgeous arch that Mark made himself! They walked down the aisle with healing crystals in their pockets and 70 of their closest friends and family witnessed them share the most heartfelt vows. The most important guest of all was their daughter, Charlotte, and you’d be silly not to scroll down to see the moment Mark saw Gill for the first time while holding little Charlie. Hint : There were tears. As Mark described it to me after the wedding : ” You found a way to make the crying look innocent and emotional rather than embarrassing as hell!”.

After their ceremony we enjoyed exploring the area with their family and wedding party before making our way to the Lodge for the most perfect mountain reception. From the wood beams, to the mountain shaped placeholders, to the mini lights and candles, to the classic views of Rundle, Ha Ling, and the Three Sisters, it was the quintessential Rocky Mountain wedding! We made sure to take full advantage of those views during blue hour, sneaking outside after dinner as the last light disappeared behind the peaks. I was welcomed into their family with open arms, even given a seat at dinner with Gill’s parents, grandparents and little Charlie. How lucky am I!?
