Holton + Jamie | Vancouver Wedding Photographer | Lighthouse Park | Whytecliff Park Adventure
Once upon a time a quiet prairie girl moved to the West coast where she didn’t know a soul. Welllll that was 10 years ago. These two babes were in my English class in university and brought this shy, introverted Manitoban outta her shell! None of us had cars, so we would spend countless hours on public transit while they showed me around some of their favorite places in Vancouver. Whytecliff Park was one of those places. I couldn’t get enough.
I’ve been back to visit Vancouver every year since University. My visits with Holton + Jamie aaaalways include delicious food. Sometimes we try a new restaurant, sometimes we hit up an old classic, and sometimes we recreate Thai curries from the cookbook we received at our cooking class in Thailand! These two introduced Ryan and I to dosas, the most magical Indian fermented crepe, and we are counting down the days until we are living in Vancouver again just for a Dosa double date!
Anyways, enough about food! Back to these two! Our first stop of the day’s adventures was Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. We shared the rocky shoreline with seagulls, couples picnic-ing in the sun, some others getting their engagement photos taken, and of course the lighthouse! As the sun started to set we made our way further along the coast to Whytecliff Park in Horseshoe Bay. There were scuba divers, dozens of sail boats enjoying the sunset over Howe Sound, and the most magical vibe in the air. We didn’t want to leave. I didn’t want to stop photographing them. They fit together so perfectly, whether they are being silly frolicking about or cuddled close taking it all in. And don’t even get me started on the amazing business they run together. Shameless plug because I’m so proud, go check out Badger + Burke for the best witty + colourful greeting cards!
