Andrea + Aaron | Lake Louise Elopement | Banff National Park

The mountains are always the boss. They do what they want, when they want and this day in June was no exception. I pulled up the Chateau Lake Louise in a blizzard — but Andrea and Aaron were in good spirits and didn’t let the obscured view bring them down. They planned to have only their parents witness their Lake Louise elopement and nothing else in the world mattered. As everyone got ready for the day, we watched the iconic red canoes make their way across the lake before abruptly turning around when the snow started again. Over and over, mother nature kept changing her mind as to what season she wanted it to be.

After their lakeside first-look and ceremony, we hit the road to visit some of the most iconic sites in the Rockies. We basked in the sunshine at Moraine Lake, cuddled up in a special blanket from home to keep warm and hiked through a foot of fresh snow at Peyto Lake.
