Liz + Corey reached out to me last fall wanting to elope in Banff, in our gorgeous Rocky Mountains! We met for coffee and discussed possible locations + how they imagined spending the day. They wanted to be surrounded by nature, have a place to stay for a mini honeymoon, and loved the warm feel of a mountain lodge. Storm Mountain Lodge was the perfect venue! I love working with couples to plan a day thats 100% them.  As a full-time Banff elopement photographer, I get to see so many people throwing away society’s ideas of what a ‘normal wedding’ should look like and truly embracing what speaks to them! Gah! Could this job be more amazing?

We drove up to the lodge in a typical Canadian snow storm, it was a real-life snowglobe! They said their vows on the front porch of cabin #4, spent an hour exploring the trees with me, then settled into the main lodge for dinner + wine in front of the fire place! They have a reception planned to share their joy + love with friends + family, but a stress-free weekend in the mountains, just the two of them, was the perfect start to their marriage!
