Q: Where are you located?
A: I am lucky to be able to call both Winnipeg + Calgary home! From the mountains to the prairies, I get the best of both worlds! Weddings, elopements, and lifestyle sessions are available in both locations! (Winnipeg friends, let’s plan your engagement session in the mountains…no travel fees! Whaaaaat?!)
Q: Do you travel for shoots?
A: My passport is always up to date. (that’s a YES in case you’re wondering.) Travel fees may apply. Up-to-date travel plans are usually posted to my Instagram. (@megansteenphotography).
Q : Do you photograph elopements?
A : YESSSSSS! Message us for a quote unique to your plans.
Q: How many photos will we get? When will we get them?
A: Engagement + Lifestyle sessions will receive 60-80 photos in their online gallery, 1-2 weeks after their session! A typical 10-hour wedding will receive 500 photos, a maximum of 6 weeks after your wedding. We never cap this number, you’ll receive every photo that helps tell your story. We’ll be sure to share sneak peeks of your photos within days of your session!
Q: Can you recommend other vendors for our session or wedding day?
A: Absolutely! We’ve had the honour of working with (and becoming friends with) so many other local vendors. Just let us know what you’re looking for!
Q: Do you offer prints? wedding and family albums?
A: We sure do! We offer GORGEOUS leather albums, guestbooks, canvases, metal prints, and gift prints! Wall art is available directly from your online gallery, easily accessible by your friends + family. All albums are custom designed by yours truly. (with lots of input from you, of course!)
Q : How many photographers will be at our wedding?
A : Megan will always be the lead photographer, no matter what the event. You have the option to add on a second photographer. We’ll work with you on a timeline of the day and recommend if we think you need one or not!
Q: Will I receive digital files?
A: YES! Of course! You’ll receive an amazing custom gallery to share with friends + family. Wedding clients will also receive a gorgeous USB of their photos.
Q: Do you edit our photos?
A: Every. Single. One. Each photo in your gallery will receive colour + contrast adjustments. Some will also be converted to black + white!
Q : Do you blog every session or wedding?
A : Unfortunately, there just aren’t enough hours in a day!
Q: How far should we book in advance?
A: As soon as possible! Lifestyle portrait sessions are available from 2-6 weeks in advance. Weekends fill quickly, however! Typically, weddings are booked 12-18 months in advance, especially on Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays between May + October. Engagement sessions should be booked at least 4 weeks prior to your wedding.
Q: Do you offer a photobooth? Who supplies the props?
A: YES! We offer a 2 hour photobooth for your party/event/wedding! Your guests will receive their photos online within 2 weeks! (we provide each guest with the link when they enter the booth.) We have an ever-growing collection of silly props, but you’re always welcome to include customized props to fit your event’s theme.
