Intimate At-Home Wedding | Connor + Steve

I first met Connor and Steve at Amanda + Dylan’s wedding. A few things have changed since then…Amanda and Dylan are now parents to Jacob, who has more rolls than any baby I’ve ever met, Connor and Steve are now fur parents to their camera-hog pup named Riot, and of course the two boys are best of friends! One thing hasn’t changed though; Steve still doesn’t love photos! 😉

Most people think of elopements as last-minute, run away from family, get hitched at the courthouse kinda deals. Well, I’m here to tell you that things have changed people! Connor reached out to met over a year in advance knowing that she wanted to get married on their dating anniversary, but needing some help and guidance to break free from the rest of the wedding industry. Knowing the date of their wedding wasn’t flexible, they booked me before they had even finalized a venue.

Eventually, after being pulled back and forth between what the wedding industry wanted them to do and following their hearts, everything fell into place. Their day ended up exactly as they pictured it : a relaxed morning at home, Connor rockin’ Converse, vows shared in their living room surrounded by 20 of their closest family members and friends (and Riot!), donuts and mini eggs instead of cake, and a come-and-go reception later that evening, catered by Steve’s mom. It’s safe to say that they got the intimate at home wedding of their dreams and I am so so lucky to have shared their day with them.
